A Letter of Experience or Experience Certificate could be defined as a letter that is written by the Employer on behalf of an Employee. It confirms the time and designation of the employee was associated with the Organization. The Experience Certificate a very important document when it comes to the closing formalities of an Employee with the Company. It also conveys the most basic work ethics and strengths of the individual to his future Employers.
When an Indian person is preparing to go a Hague Conventional Country (HCC) for job purpose and if their Employer ask for Experience Certificate, then their Experience Certificate will be Apostilled by Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Govt. of India. Prior MEA Apostille the Experience Certificate must be Attested from Notary Public as well as a competent Signatory of MEA, Govt. of India. For Experience Certificate Apostille the State Level Attestation will be done from Regional Attestation Center (RAC), General Administrative Department (GAD), Home Department, Secretariat, Commissioner, High Commissioner, Sub Divisional Magistrate SDM) etc.

If the person is going to a Non Hague Conventional Country for job purpose then the Experience Certificate will be Attested and Legalized from the Embassy or Consulate of the destination Country present in India. Prior Embassy Attestation of Experience Certificate (if Employer ask for it) will be Attested from Notary Public, Attestation from State Level as mentioned above and the Attestation from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Chandigarh, Govt. of India. If the Experience has been issued from Regional Passport Office (RPO) then it will be Attested directly from MEA.
